Tennis

There is no court charge for tennis unless you use the floodlights (£1 for 15 minutes). And we offer free use of tennis balls throughout the year.

For competitive players, we enter mens, womens and boys teams in the local East of Scotland Leagues and other competitions, and hope to add girl's teams next year.

For social players we run men's and women's club evenings throughout the summer, open to everyone, plus mixed afternoons (including monthly American Tournaments) on Sunday afternoons. And there is plenty of court capacity available for your own friendly games. In the winter, to avoid waiting in the cold, we run pre-arranged fours on the floodlit courts four evenings a week which have proved highly popular and successful.

We are fortunate in having an LTA-qualified tennis coach. He is happy to give coaching to small groups or to individuals by private arrangement. The secretary can put you in contact.


Squash

Courts can be booked free of charge, and are readily available at virtually any time if booked a few days ahead. The lights and heaters are free.

For competitive players, we enter a team in the local Lothian Leagues.

For social players we run monthly Mini-Leagues and regular handicap events within the club between September and April. In the summer, when fewer people play squash, the Squash Convener will put new members in touch with others of their standard keen to play.

Expert squash coaching for individuals or small groups, including children, is available. The secretary can put you in contact.

There is no charge for squash court lighting or heating, we are also pioneering racquetball in the East of Scotland and have set up a series of league matches in the Edinburgh area and lastly, we have recently built a Boules court in the grounds.
