Facilities

On the tennis side we have three artificial-grass courts which are playable all the year round. The latest 'Grasshopper Ace' surface is comfortable to play on, gives a consistent medium speed game and drains quickly after rain. Two courts have floodlighting for evening play in autumn, winter and spring. Round the courts are areas of mown grass where children can happily play while their parents are on court.

Indoors we have two heated and well-insulated squash courts. The clubroom on the first floor forms a convenient viewing gallery for both courts, and there are men's and women's changing rooms (with hot showers) below. All members can use our racketball and table-tennis equipment.

The social side at Hatton has always been important. We were the first tennis club in Scotland to have a licensed bar, and the present bar and clubroom, and in summer the sheltered sitting area outside, are places where people enjoy relaxing with a beer or soft drink after their game.

Our regular social events for members and friends include a summer Barn Dance or party, autumn ceilidh or Dinner Dance and spring quiz night, as well as impromptu barbecues after summer tennis events.
